Earlier this year we embarked on an exciting venture: we bought a big, square farmhouse in the north Dordogne area. It is in a small hamlet just a few kilometres from the market town of Ribérac. The River Dronne is close by. Last summer the fields were full of sunflowers. Goats are milked just beyond our meadow and the cheese sold direct. In other words a bit of French rural heaven.
OUTDOORS: There is a big covered barn, an open-sided barn (un préau) an acre of meadow/garden, a swimming pool, a courtyard with lots of deckchairs and tables. Boules and badminton are available for the more energetic.
TRAVEL: Train to Angoulême (45 mins away), flights to Bergerac from Exeter, Bristol & Stansted (1 hour away). Transfers to/from Angoulême and Bergerac will be arranged and are included in the price.
